Nils Tuchschmid

Nils Tuchschmid is a Full Professor and Head of the Institute of Finance at the Fribourg School of Management (HEG-FR) and a Lecturer at the Geneva Finance Research Institute (GFRI), University of Geneva. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Geneva and has held senior roles in financial institutions such as Tages Group, UBS, and Credit Suisse.

His research focuses on asset management, alternative investments, hedge funds, and risk management strategies. Key projects include developing forward-looking risk tools for pension funds and analyzing alternative risk premia's role in balanced portfolios. He has co-authored publications on topics ranging from gender disparities in hedge fund performance to blockchain-based digital currencies like Diem.

Prof. Tuchschmid’s professional experience spans over two decades in tactical trading, multi-manager portfolios, and alternative fund advisory. He actively contributes to academic conferences and industry discussions, emphasizing practical applications of financial research in real-world investment challenges.
