Professor Nilay Shah is a Professor of Process Systems Engineering at Imperial College London's Department of Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering. He holds affiliations with the Sargent Centre for Process Systems Engineering and multiple interdisciplinary initiatives including the Agri Futures Lab, Energy Futures Lab, and Future Vaccine Manufacturing Research Hub. His professional experience includes serving as Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering (2016-2021) and Director of the Centre for Process Systems Engineering (2009-2016).
Shah's research focuses on energy systems optimization, low-carbon technologies, supply chain design, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
