Nikolaus Indlekofer

Nikolaus Indlekofer is a Lecturer and academic music director at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he leads the concert choir, chamber choir, and philharmonic orchestra. He teaches choral conducting and ensemble conducting at the Karlsruhe University of Music, combining his roles as a performer and educator. His professional engagements include guest conducting with orchestras such as the Marburg Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra Bielsko Biala.

Education: Studied school music, violoncello, and conducting at the Karlsruhe University of Music under Prof. Annemarie Dengler, Prof. Martin Schmidt, and GMD Erich Wächter. Further training included courses with Wolfgang Seeliger, Wolf-Dieter Hauschild, and John Eliot Gardiner.

Research interests focus on ensemble leadership, choral techniques, and orchestral performance practices. Active in the Badischer Chorverband as a music committee member and choral conductor trainer, he emphasizes collaborative music education. Has collaborated with soloists like Lise de la Salle and Jean Philippe Collard.
