Niklas Simm

Niklas Simm is an Assistant Professor at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), specializing in Logistics and Quality Management (LOGQ). His research focuses on Climate Smart Transport Systems and Green Logistics, emphasizing organizational interaction to achieve sustainable logistics solutions. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Logistics Management, following a Master's in Communications, Transport, and Infrastructure.

Research Interests: Climate Smart Transport Systems, Green Logistics, Interaction for Efficient Logistics, and Technical Innovations for Green Logistics. His work explores collaboration between organizations to enhance transport resilience and reduce environmental impact through resource sharing and sustainable practices.

Teaching includes courses such as TETS37 (Basics in Logistics Management), TETS57 (Logistics Analysis), and TPPE91 (Production System Planning and Management). His recent publications address challenges and opportunities in transitioning to fossil-free freight transport, stakeholder collaboration for sustainable systems, and resource-sharing mechanisms.

He advises on the implementation of green logistics technologies and has contributed to policy guidance for sustainable transport transitions. His research combines fieldwork with companies and academic analysis, reflecting a commitment to bridging theory and practice.
