Niklas Lorén

Niklas Lorén is a researcher and academic affiliate with expertise in food science, materials science, and soft matter physics. He is currently affiliated with RISE Agrifood and Bioscience (Product Design and Perception section) and holds an Adjunct Professor position at the Department of Physics, Chalmers University of Technology. Niklas plays a leadership role in the VINN Excellence Centre SuMo Biomaterials and coordinates the Soft Microscopy Centre, both collaborative ventures between RISE and Chalmers. His research emphasizes microstructure-property relationships in soft bio-based materials, particularly foods, and he contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives like the LINXS Young Researchers' Imaging Working Group.
