Her educational qualifications include an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BSEd from Northern Illinois University.
Huss's artistic practice is interdisciplinary, spanning drawing, painting, photography, fiber, sculpture, and installation. Central to her work is an exploration of nature's fragility and vulnerability. Her exhibitions have been featured at prestigious venues including the Union League Club Chicago, Rome Art Week, and Berlin Art Week, and her work is held in the collections of Concordia University Chicago and the Garrett Museum of Art.
Through three faculty grants, Huss hosted an interactive Artist in Residence program, opening her campus studio to the public to demonstrate her creative processes and discuss conceptual underpinnings.
