Dr. Nikitas Papasimakis is a Principal Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Nanophotonics Group. His research focuses on metamaterials, toroidal electrodynamics, optical super-resolution, and nonreciprocal light-matter interactions. He supervises multiple PhD students and collaborates on projects funded by EPSRC, Royal Society, and DARPA. Recent work includes advancements in optical classification of subwavelength objects, coherent light absorption, and supertoroidal pulse dynamics.
