Niharika Pandit

Niharika Pandit is a PhD researcher at the Department of Gender Studies, London School of Economics and Political Science. Her work explores the intersections of gender, militarized occupation, spatial dynamics, and media representation, focusing on civilian experiences in conflict zones like Kashmir Valley.

• Education: MA in Gender Studies (Felix Scholar, SOAS), BA in Journalism (Sophia College)

Her research engages feminist, postcolonial, and critical theories to analyze how militarization permeates domestic spaces and reshapes gendered realities. She has contributed to editorial work on Engenderings blog and collaborated with Dr. Amanda Gilbertson on media representation of violence against women.
