Nicole M. Winget

Nicole M. Winget serves as Dean for Adult and Online Education and Instructor in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice programs at Campbell University since spring 2015, concurrently holding the rank of Commander in the United States Navy with twenty years of active service including deployments to Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Education:

Professional Expertise: Her work integrates Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, and Military Affairs through legislative advocacy, trial coaching, and military education policy. She specializes in bridging military service with higher education access for veterans and active-duty personnel.

Leadership & Service: She serves on boards for the Fayetteville Military Affairs Council, Council for Military and College Educators, and National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services. Her mock trial coaching spans Campbell University and Unity teams while also instructing fitness classes.

Military Distinctions: Decorated with the Joint Service Commendation Medal and Navy Commendation Medal, she transitioned from Enlisted Information Technology Specialist to Executive Officer. Additional roles include VP of Communications for Operation Enduring Warrior and International Executive Board member of Phi Alpha Delta.
