Nicole Ligon is an Assistant Professor of Law at Campbell Law, teaching courses in Media Law and the First Amendment, Professional Responsibility, and Trial Advocacy. Previously, she served as a Clinical Professor of Law at Duke University School of Law and was Supervising Attorney of Duke's First Amendment Clinic. She also practiced litigation at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP in New York.
Her research focuses on Media Law, First Amendment issues, Professional Responsibility, and Trial Advocacy, with frequent expert commentary on First Amendment matters in news media. Ligon earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where she was a Notes Editor for the Duke Law Journal, and her B.A. from Emory University.
