Nicole Fayard

Dr. Nicole Fayard is an Associate Professor in French and Francophone Studies at the University of Leicester’s School of Arts. She serves as Director of Education for Modern Languages and History of Art and Film, overseeing curriculum development, student experience, and quality assurance. Her research focuses on Visual Culture, Gender Studies, and Translation Studies, with a particular emphasis on colonial legacies, gender violence, and social divisions. She has pioneered initiatives like the 'Global Citizens of Change' project, embedding employability skills into curricula, and led transformative feedback practices in Modern Languages. As College Equalities Lead, she contributed to institutional policy reforms. Her work bridges academic research and pedagogical innovation, emphasizing inclusive and research-led teaching.
