Dr. Nicole Anderson is a Professor in Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and holds multiple senior roles at Baycrest Health Sciences, including Senior Scientist at the Rotman Research Institute, Director of the Ben & Hilda Katz Interprofessional Research Program in Geriatric and Dementia Care, and Associate Scientific Director of the Kimel Family Centre for Brain Health and Wellness. She is also a clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in aging, cognition, and brain health.
Education: AB in Psychology (Washington University, St. Louis); MA and PhD in Psychology (University of Toronto).
Research focuses on memory processes in aging and mild cognitive impairment (MCI), cognitive interventions to reduce dementia risk, and the impact of early-life trauma on autobiographical memory. She leads the Kimel Centre’s community-based dementia risk reduction initiatives, offering personalized strategies to mitigate risk factors.
