Nicolas Vogel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), holding the Chair of Interfaces and Particle Technology since December 2014. He serves as Head of the PR committee for his department and is a core member of the Cluster of Excellence Engineering of Advanced Materials.

Prof. Vogel mentors early-career researchers through the Ariadne Program for female scientists and co-chairs FAU's International Master’s Program in Advanced Materials and Processes. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of ACS Omega since 2018.
He leads the Chair of Interfaces and Particle Technology with laboratory facilities at Haberstraße 9a, driving collaborative projects within the Engineering of Advanced Materials cluster through interdisciplinary teams spanning chemistry, physics, and engineering disciplines.
