Nicolas G. Mize, Ed.D., is a Lecturer in the Graduate School of Education at California Lutheran University (CLU). He holds extensive experience in K-12 education administration, curriculum development, and organizational change management. Previously serving in leadership roles within the Los Angeles Unified School District, he co-authored district-wide English Language Arts curricula and facilitated professional development programs for educators.
Dr. Mize joined CLU's full-time faculty in 2020 after serving as adjunct faculty at CLU and California State University, Northridge. He coordinates the California Administrator Performance Assessment and teaches in the PASC/MA program for future school leaders, as well as the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. He has also contributed to systemic instructional reviews for multiple school districts through his role as a Professional Expert with the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence.
His publications include works in the Journal of Cases in Educational Administration and Journal of Educational Administration, and he has presented at national conferences such as the University Council for Educational Administration. He received CLU's Graduate School of Education Teaching Award in 2022.
