Nicolas Duriau is a PartTime Lecturer at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where he is also a research fellow funded by the F.R.S.-FNRS. His academic work centers on literary history and gendered representations in French novels from the 18th to early 20th century.

His doctoral thesis (supervised by Professor Valérie André) explored male prostitution in French literature between 1783 and 1922.
