Nico Opper is an Emmy®-nominated Associate Professor of Communication at Santa Clara University. They specialize in documentary filmmaking, LGBTQ+ media representation, and independent production. Their work includes acclaimed films like Off and Running and Try Harder!, which have premiered at Sundance and Tribeca. Opper teaches in the College of Arts and Sciences and mentors LGBTQ+ scholars through the Point Foundation.
