Nicky Adams is a Principal Lecturer and Coordinator of the Writing Internship Program in the Department of English at the University of Dayton’s College of Arts and Sciences. She is a full-time faculty member actively teaching professional writing courses with a strong emphasis on community engagement and experiential learning.
Her research and teaching interests include:
- Professional and Technical Writing
- Organizational and Workplace Communication
- Grant and Nonprofit Writing
- Cultural Differences in Communication
- Writing Internships and Experiential Education
Adams is an active Education Abroad faculty member, having taught summer courses in England, Ireland, Spain, and Italy, focusing on cross-cultural workplace communication. She also contributes to professional development through her LLC, Workplace Communication Consulting, facilitating workshops for the UD Center for Leadership and other regional organizations.
She was honored in 2015 with the College of Arts and Sciences Award for Outstanding Contribution by a Non-Tenure Track Faculty Member.
