Nick Platts is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses on biopoiesis through discotic-scaffolding assembly, colloquially referred to as the 'PAH World' hypothesis, which explores the origins of life via polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) mediated molecular organization.
