Professor Nick Motson is the Associate Dean for the MSc Programme at Bayes Business School, part of City St George's, University of London. He holds a BSc and PhD from Bayes Business School and an MSc from London Business School. With 13 years of experience as a proprietary trader in interest rate derivatives at major banks like Wachovia and Barclays, he transitioned to academia in 2008 as a full-time faculty member.
His research focuses on asset management, hedge funds, and structured products. Notable awards include the Sciens Capital Award (2009) and the Vice Chancellor’s Education Excellence Award (2014). He teaches alternative investments, derivatives, and fixed income, and has consulted for institutions such as ABN Amro, Barclays Wealth, and Societe Generale.
