Nick Howells

Mr Nick Howells is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol’s Bristol Medical School and a Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon practicing at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Spire Hospital Bristol, Nuffield Hospitals, and BMI Bath Clinic. He holds qualifications including MD, FRCSTTr&Orth, MSc, and MBBS, specializing in complex knee problems, knee replacement surgery, and chronic pain management. His research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with post-surgical knee pain, particularly through the STAR care pathway and innovative treatments like the N-Stride injection. He collaborates with AMBI Research Laboratories and has contributed to national guidelines on knee replacement revision and prosthetic joint infections.
