Nick Bustos

Nick Bustos is an Associate Professor and Co-Chair of the Integral Counseling Psychology-Hybrid program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), within the School of Professional Psychology and Health. As a California-licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and clinical psychologist, he integrates psychodynamic, transpersonal, and somatic/energetic approaches in his academic and clinical work.

• Education: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Integral Psychology, Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
• Research Focus: Healing journeys of therapists, nondual philosophy, and consciousness studies.
• Clinical Practice: Private practice for individuals, couples, and families; program development for K-12 special education mental health services.

His work bridges critical developmental perspectives with spiritual and contemplative traditions, emphasizing the interconnectedness of personal and universal wholeness.
