Nick Aikman is an Honorary Fellow at Loughborough University's School of Design and Creative Arts, appointed in December 2022 after a four-decade career as a lecturer and university teacher. He holds a Master of Arts in Silversmithing and Jewellery from the Royal College of Art. His professional practice encompasses commissioned jewellery, exhibition work, architectural metal design, and industrial design consultancy.
Nick's current creative focus centers on drawing as a medium to explore contemporary socio-cultural issues. He contributed to the establishment of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery through his committee membership.
