Nicholaus Parziale is the George Meade Bond Endowed Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, appointed to this position in 2025. His research program in experimental fluid dynamics investigates compressible turbulent flows, particularly supersonic and hypersonic phenomena using advanced optical diagnostics.
Before joining Stevens, he completed his PhD in Aeronautics at Caltech in 2013 and served as postdoctoral scholar there. His research has received multiple federal recognitions including ONR and AFOSR Young Investigator awards for innovations in flow measurement techniques.
Honors include the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (2024) and election as AIAA Associate Fellow (2023), acknowledging contributions to experimental aerodynamics. He maintains active collaborations with NASA Langley Research Center where he previously interned.
