Nicholas Stern is the IG Patel Professor of Economics and Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. He has held leadership roles in academia, policy, and global institutions, including serving as Chief Economist of the World Bank and Second Permanent Secretary to the UK Treasury. His work focuses on the economics of climate change, sustainable development, and poverty reduction. Stern is a Fellow of the Royal Society and has received numerous awards, including the Blue Planet Prize and Companion of Honour.
