Nicholas Soulakis

Nicholas Soulakis serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Informatics and Data Science at the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health, Loyola University Chicago, where he bridges epidemiology and informatics to advance community health monitoring through data-intensive methodologies.

• BA in Religious Study from the University of Pittsburgh
• PhD in Epidemiology from the School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh

Research Focus: Dr. Soulakis pioneers community-first informatics to map prevention networks and optimize health promotion dynamics, while leading public health informatics initiatives in spatial-temporal surveillance, EHR data processing innovations, and health information exchange systems. His work leverages computational analytics to transform how communities are monitored and engaged in health initiatives.

Professional Contributions: He actively develops novel data collection frameworks for community health tracking and investigates electronic health information flows between providers and public health agencies through Loyola's Center for Health Outcomes and Informatics Research (CHOIR).
