Nicholas Qyll

Prof. Dr. Nicholas Qyll is Professor of Visual Communication at the Digital Media Systems program, Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences). He has been a full professor since April 2023 and brings over 25 years of professional design experience and 15+ years of academic research and teaching in visual communication, branding, and design studies.

His articles explore typographic experimentation, iconic branding, and the semiotics of visual identity. His research often uses high-profile case studies like Madonna and Karl Lagerfeld to unpack the mechanisms of visual brand construction.
