Nicholas Parsons

Nicholas Parsons is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology and Social Work at Eastern Connecticut State University. His expertise spans criminology, sociology, and research methodology, with specialized focus on drug policy, media coverage of drugs, and the sociology of sport.

• M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Washington State University

His research explores the intersection of drug use, policy, and culture, alongside methodological innovations in survey design and analysis. Publications highlight historical narratives of methamphetamine, incentives in web surveys, and cultural dynamics in baseball.

Teaching interests include statistics for social research, drugs & society, and deviance. Office hours are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with contact via parsonsn@easternct.edu.
