Dr. Nicholas Martinez is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Exercise Science and Kinesiology program at the University of South Florida, housed within the College of Education. He also serves as the Lab Coordinator for the Human Performance Lab, where he leads community testing services including VO2max, resting metabolic rate, and body composition assessments.
His academic and professional expertise spans exercise physiology, sports nutrition, exercise psychology, and mental performance. He is a certified Exercise Physiologist, Health and Wellness Coach, and Clinical Stress Management Practitioner. Dr. Martinez has applied his research and coaching experience with elite professional and Olympic athletes, including those in boxing and tennis.
