Nicholas Mac Gregor GARCIA is a Lecturer (Educator Track) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), affiliated with the School of Computing and the Department of Information Systems and Analytics. He serves as Deputy Director of the NUS Fintech Lab and Co-Director (Industry) of the NUS FinTech Lab. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from NYU Stern (expected 2023), an M.Sc. in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University (2015), and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley (2012).

His research focuses on fintech governance, ethics in data science, and AI systems. He adapts computational tools to enhance qualitative social science methods and has presented at ICIS, Academy of Management, and PROS. He teaches Fintech, Blockchain, and AI Governance courses, leading the development of NUS’s new Smart Systems curriculum.
Collaborations include work with Intel, IBM, and EA Games. He oversees NUS Fintech Lab’s industry partnerships and drives innovation in fintech and data ethics.
