Prof. Nicholas Huntington is a Research Professor and Head of the Cancer Immunotherapy Laboratory at Monash University’s Biomedicine Discovery Institute. He specializes in natural killer (NK) cell biology, focusing on regulatory mechanisms of IL-15 signaling, NK cell differentiation, and tumor immunity. His work includes drug discovery for cancer immunotherapy and collaborative pharmaceutical research. He leads initiatives like the MIN (Melbourne Immunotherapy Network) and co-founded oNKo-Innate Pty Ltd.
Education: PhD in Biochemistry (University of Melbourne, 2002–2006).
Research Interests: NK cell biology, cancer immunotherapy, cytokine signaling, and drug discovery. His lab develops novel therapies targeting NK cell checkpoints and explores NK cell roles in radiotherapy and tumor microenvironment interactions.
