Nicholas Fleisher

Nicholas Fleisher is Associate Professor and Chair of Linguistics at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, holding PhD and MA from UC Berkeley and BA from Yale. Teaches syntax, semantics, and linguistic theory.

Research examines compositional semantics within syntactic structures, particularly negation, quantification, and comparative morphology. Recent work analyzes compulsory binding phenomena, factive environments in degree constructions, and nominal quantifier behavior.
