Nicholas Behm, Ph.D., is Professor and Chair of the Department of English and Director of the Center for Scholarship and Teaching at Elmhurst University. He teaches first-year composition, rhetorical theory, and business/technical writing courses, while also contributing to the Honors Program.
- Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Composition, and Linguistics from Arizona State University
- Master’s in British and American Literature from Marquette University
His research focuses on composition pedagogy, writing assessment, and critical race theory. He co-edited influential publications such as The WPA Outcomes Statement—A Decade Later and The Framework for Success in Postsecondary Writing: Scholarship and Applications.
