Nicholas A. de Leeuw

Nicholas (Nick) de Leeuw is a Senior Lecturer in Psychological Science at Vassar College. He holds an AB from Vassar College and is completing his Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a graduate fellow at the Learning Research and Development Center.

Research examines how students integrate scientific text with prior knowledge, investigating reading comprehension processes, scientific reasoning, and mental model formation. Additional expertise includes methodological approaches for verbal data analysis (protocol analysis) and human development with emphasis on infancy and adolescence.

Courses taught include Introduction to Psychological Science (PSYC 105) and Humor and Children (PSYC 385).
