Nicasio Urbina is a Professor of Latin American Literature at the University of Cincinnati. With a PhD from Georgetown University, his work focuses on Central American literature, semiotics, and creative writing. He has published nine books, edited volumes on Rubén Darío, and received the Rieveschl Award for scholarly excellence. His research examines humor, myth, and violence in literary genres, and he serves as Vice President of the Granada International Poetry Festival.
