Nguyet Nguyen

Nguyet Nguyen is Assistant Professor of History in the Social Sciences department within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alaska, Juneau Campus. Office location: Whitehead Building 208.

Research specializes in the Vietnam War, US foreign relations, and transnational activism, with emphasis on gender dynamics and decolonization. Publications include analyses of American-Vietnamese elite relations and comparative war cinema studies. Her forthcoming book Antiwar Transnationalism examines people's diplomacy during the Vietnam War.

Awards include Fulbright Scholarship and fellowships from major historical associations. She collaborates on documentary projects about Vietnamese wartime experiences and addresses unexploded ordnance legacies. Recognized with the university's Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award (2023-2024).
