Ngamboko Muzinga is an Associate Professor of Business at Morningside University's Department of Accounting and Business. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), he has been a U.S. permanent resident since 1992. Before moving to the U.S., he worked as a bank manager at the Commercial Bank of Zaire (BCZ). His academic journey includes a B.Sc. in Applied Economics from the University of Kinshasa, an M.A. in African Studies (economic development concentration) from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Consumer Economics (ag finance concentration) from the same institution.
Research interests span corporate finance, taxation, agricultural economics, business finance, and economic development. He has received multiple teaching awards, including student-voted Faculty of the Year in 2011 and 2012, with consistent nominations until 2015. Professional affiliations include the American Agricultural Economic Association (AAEA), National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), National Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA), Institut de Recherche et d’Etudes Historiques du Présent (IREHP), and Center for Research on Congo (CEREC).
