Ng Chen Seng

Dr. Ng Chen Seng is a Lecturer and Principal Investigator at Monash University Malaysia's School of Science, Division of Medical Biosciences. He also serves as Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) Biosafety Officer. Educated at Kyoto University (PhD in Viral Immunology), he completed postdoctoral research at UCLA and the University of British Columbia. His expertise spans innate immunity, virology, and neurodegenerative diseases like ALS. Notable achievements include identifying interferon signaling as a key ALS biomarker and elucidating species-specific interferon response differences. He received the IBRO Rising Star Award (2022) and multiple educator awards. Current research applies AI/ML to ALS molecular mechanisms.
