Dr. Nevena Grdović is a Principal Research Fellow at the Department of Molecular Biology, Institute for Biological Research 'Siniša Stanković', a national institute of the Republic of Serbia under the University of Belgrade. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and has been actively involved in diabetes research, epigenetics, and gene expression studies since 2007.

Research Interests:
Dr. Grdović focuses on diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2), epigenetic mechanisms like DNA methylation/demethylation, and their impact on gene expression related to diabetes, fibroproliferative diseases, and cancer. Her work also explores targeted methylation of gene loci to alter cell phenotypes.
Projects and Collaborations:
She participates in national projects funded by Serbian ministries (2020–present, 2011–2019) and international initiatives like the EU Framework Programme Globaqua (2014–2019), COST Actions (TD0905, CA15219, CA16119), and collaborations with institutions in Austria and Germany.
Professional Affiliations:
She is a member of the Serbian Society for Molecular Biology, Serbian Biochemical Society (served on Fellowships and Scientific Committees 2014–2017), Serbian Proteomic Association, and Serbian Biological Society.
