Nerea Calvillo

Nerea Calvillo is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies within the University of Warwick. She is also a Co-Investigator (Co-I) in the RECLAIM project. Her work bridges environmental pollution, art, architecture, and technology through interdisciplinary lenses.

• Expertise: pollution, art, architecture
• Research focuses on material, technological, political, and social dimensions of environmental pollution, including toxicity, digital infrastructures for monitoring, DIY/collaborative production, smart cities, and feminist approaches to environmental sensing.
• Founder of the collaborative visualization project In the Air and the architecture office C+arquitectos.
• Current research explores toxic politics, pollen, and queer urban political ecologies.
