Nele Noesselt is a Professor of Political Science with a focus on China/East Asia at the University of Duisburg-Essen’s Faculty of Social Sciences. She has held this chair since 2015 and previously served as an Academic Councillor at the University of Göttingen (2009-2011) and as a Research Fellow at the GIGA Institute of Asian Studies in Hamburg (2011-2015). Her expertise spans comparative politics, international relations, and governance systems, particularly analyzing China’s evolving domestic and global role.
