Neka Miller, Ph.D. serves as Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Adjunct Professor in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program at Clarkson College. She holds a dual Bachelor’s in Psychology/Medicinal Chemistry and Biochemical Pharmacology from SUNY Buffalo, and a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from SUNY Buffalo/Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Her research spans oncology (metastatic colon cancer, TGF-β signaling), neuroscience, and higher education retention strategies. She leads Clarkson’s IPEDS reporting, chairs accreditation committees, and mentors students and faculty. She actively participates in regional/national academic research consortia (e.g., Heartland Pathways, AIR).
Her recent work bridges cancer biology and educational policy, analyzing student retention data through institutional effectiveness frameworks. She advises doctoral dissertations and contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives like the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Professional roles include service on the College’s Leadership Council, Retention Strategies Committee, and accreditation task forces. She combines clinical research expertise with academic administration to improve both patient care and student success metrics.
