Neil Turner is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia's Institute of Agriculture. He also holds Visiting Professorships at Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University (since 2017) and Lanzhou University (since 2008). His research focuses on crop-water relations, pulse physiology, drought resistance, and salinity tolerance. Turner has contributed to over 280 publications and led 14 grants, including major projects on improving chickpea and canola resilience under abiotic stresses.
