About
Dr Neil Shearer is an Associate Professor at Edinburgh Napier University's School of Computing Engineering and the Built Environment. He specializes in materials engineering, metallurgy, and forensic materials, with particular focus on fuel cells (SOFC), nanomaterials, and tribology. As Programme Leader for the MSc Advanced Materials Engineering, he ensures accreditation standards and graduate employability.
Education: BSc (Hons) Chemistry from Heriot-Watt University (2001), MSc Materials Technology, and PhD in anode materials for SOFCs from Edinburgh Napier (2007).
