Neil Kagan

Neil Kagan serves as Lecturer in Production and Learning and Teaching Director at City St George's, University of London, within the School of Communication and Creativity's Department of Performing Arts. Since Urdang's integration into the university, he has overseen all productions while bringing industry professionals into student collaborations and teaching Performance Culture and Production Skills modules.

His academic foundation includes:

• B.A. in Drama and Theatre Studies, University of Surrey, United Kingdom (1995-1998)

Research interests span theatre history, performance art, puppetry, sound design, and technology-enhanced education. He actively participates in School of Communication and Creativity events and university-wide Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Neil mentors dissertation students across performance design and virtual theatre topics while maintaining his external creative practice through the Homodular project, which encompasses album recordings and live performances.
