About
Neil James is a Professor and Honorary Professorial Fellow at the University of East Anglia's School of Health Sciences, where he also serves as Associate Dean for Learning, Teaching and Quality. Previously, he held leadership roles including Associate Pro Vice Chancellor (Education and Curriculum) and Director of Practice Education. His academic background includes a PhD from the University of South Wales and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Glamorgan.
His research focuses on:
- Learning disability nursing and autism spectrum disorders
- Mental health needs in intellectual disabilities
- Forensic issues affecting individuals with learning disabilities
- Family carer experiences and support systems
- Qualitative methodologies including interpretative phenomenological analysis
