Neil Dunn serves as an Instructor in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Kansas State University, teaching Rhythmic Notation for Dancers, Composition for Dancers, West African Music and Dance, and Applied Percussion while coaching percussion ensembles. He concurrently holds roles as Dance Production Manager and lead academic advisor for Dance students.
His educational background includes:

Research interests center on West African social dance and drumming traditions, African xylophones of northern Ghana, and rhythmic applications in dance education. With over 25 years of professional experience as a dance accompanist since 1994, his work spans international venues and major conferences including ACDFA, PASIC, and Jazz Dance World Congress.
As lead academic advisor for Dance, Neil provides comprehensive guidance on academic progression and artistic development within the program, leveraging his dual expertise in music and dance disciplines.
