Neel Prasad

Neel Prasad is an Clinical Associate Professor and Regional Coordinator for Modesto/East Bay Stockton at the School of Pharmacy, University of the Pacific. Since joining the faculty in 2016, he has played a pivotal role in the PharmD program as a preceptor for 17 years prior to his faculty appointment. His career spans over two decades at Target/CVS Health, where he held diverse positions in pharmacy practice.

Dr. Prasad's teaching philosophy emphasizes applied knowledge and student-driven learning. He oversees advanced pharmacy practice experiences including courses like PHRM 175, PHRM 176, and PHRM 171, which focus on capstone training and internal medicine applications. His research interests align with clinical pharmacy, healthcare delivery, and community-oriented pharmaceutical practice.

Recognized for excellence in precepting, he received the 2016 Preceptor of the Year award in the Modesto Region. Beyond academia, Dr. Prasad contributes to community initiatives through volunteering and cultural engagement with Modesto's Hindu community.
