Naveed Sultan

Naveed Sultan is a Professor of Practice at Imperial College Business School and Co-Director of its Centre for Financial Technology. He serves on multiple advisory boards, including the Smart London Board and Imperial’s Advisory Board. His career spans over three decades in global banking leadership roles, including Chairman of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group and Global Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions.

Education: MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Punjab, Pakistan; Master of Science (S.M.) from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Research focuses on digital transformation in finance, fintech innovation, and systemic responsibility in leadership. He pioneered Citi’s digital policy advisory practice and co-founded Imperial’s Centre for Responsible Leadership to address societal and economic impacts of leadership decisions.

Key contributions include the Digital Money Index, the annual Digital Money Symposium, and technology-driven solutions for remittance systems in Saudi Arabia. His work emphasizes sustainability as a growth strategy and systemic stability in financial systems.
