Nathaniel K. Newlands is a Research Scientist with the Government of Canada (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and Statistics Canada) based at the Summerland Research and Development Centre in British Columbia and an Adjunct Professor in Geography at the University of Victoria. He completed his doctorate at the University of British Columbia's Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) on Atlantic bluefin tuna shoaling dynamics and abundance estimation.
His research addresses public-good food-water-energy nexus issues and integrated global problems to advance sustainable development.
