Nathan Young is an Adjunct Instructor at The Cooper Union’s School of Art. His interdisciplinary practice spans sound, video, documentary, animation, installation, socially engaged art, and experimental music, with a focus on Indigenous Sonic Agency. He co-founded the artist collective Postcommodity and is a PhD Candidate at the University of Oklahoma, researching Indigenous art history. Young holds an MFA in Music/Sound from Bard College.

His work interrogates spiritual and political dimensions of the sublime, supported by grants from Creative Capital, Tulsa Artist Fellowship, and others. He explores Indigenous sovereignty through sonic and visual mediums, bridging contemporary art and cultural activism.
